Suspicious behaviour

I hope you have all been able enjoy the beautiful weather we have been blessed with.

We have received two separate, and completely different reports of suspicious behaviour in Muxton, most of the time these incidents are completely innocent but we would rather you report something that turns out to be nothing than not report at all:

One incident was captured on cctv where it appears a couple in a car are taking pictures of a vehicle or address and the owners of the address have no idea who they are, obviously this has made the homeowners feel very uncomfortable. Although no crime has been committed we are able to identify the car and the owners so if there is another incident reported involving the same car we may be able to link them. We are also able to put intelligence on our system so if something happens elsewhere involving this car other officers are able to see. 

Another incident of a man in a white van who approached a female out walking asking if she wanted to buy a mattress he had in his van, the lady declined and diverted but reported this to us. Unfortunately the lady was unable to take the registration number.

Again no crime has been committed but we would like to reiterate that if something doesn't feel right to you please report it. Sometimes we are aware of other similar incidents that we will not have publicised and your information can be vital to us.

Also, please look out for one another especially during hot weather, remember to be careful about leaving doors and windows open, shut and lock them if you are leaving the property.
